GripLite is a lightweight, cross-platform database IDE for MySQL and MongoDB — fast to launch, easy to use, and designed to stay out of your way.

The app is self-signed but not notarized. To open it for the first time:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/GripLite.appExtract the ZIP and run GripLite.exe directly — no installer required.

MongoDB support is designed around a DataGrip-like collection workflow:
- Create a MongoDB connection from New MongoDB. Both regular host/port connections and
mongodb+srv://Atlas-style connections are supported. - Open a MongoDB console and run commands such as
db.orders.find({ status: "paid" }).sort({ createdAt: -1 }).limit(100)or raw command documents such as{ "ping": 1 }. - Double-click a collection to view documents. The default view is
Grid;Recordshows one document field-by-field;Textrenders JSON. - Collection data can be edited from the grid/record views.
_idis used as the primary identity field for updates and deletes. - Read-only connections block write/admin operations at the driver layer.
